The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in a river valley, near the confluence of the Aghavannagh River and a stream. Circular area (diam. 28m) defined by an earth and stone bank (H 1.25m) with an external drystone wall-facing and some internal stone-facing. An entrance feature consisting of stone 'steps' (Wth c. 1m) occurs at the W and may represent the original entrance. The site is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. No trace of a fosse and no internal features other than the remains of four corn ricks.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
