The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a steep N-facing slope of Calvinstown Hill. Marked 'Site of Rath' on 1838 OS 6-inch map, and on the 1907 edition as a small enclosure (max. diam. c. 30m). Visible on several Google Earth images from 2003 as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) defined by a bank in an unplanted area of forestry.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
