The National Monuments Service's description
Testing was carried out at Ballynabarny between 8 and 12 October 2001 as part of advance archaeological works for the N11 Newtownmountkennedy to Ballynabarny dual carriageway scheme. Five fields were tested within the southern part of the land-take in this townland. Within Field 1 (to the south of the junction between the existing N11 and the Wicklow road) only two stray finds of natural flint were uncovered (Bennett 2004, 527).
