The National Monuments Service's description
Excavation of part of St Kevin's Road running from near the Deer Stone to a point E of St Kevin's Well showed that it was roughly cobbled and 2.5-3m wide. It runs parallel with the modern road and may have served to connect St Saviour's Priory with the rest of the monastic settlement. (Manning 1983, 346)
