The National Monuments Service's description

Unlocated inscribed slab at Glendalough. This slab was first recorded by Petrie (1878, 68) and was recorded as 'lost' by Macalister in 1949 (Macalister 1949, 82). Described by Macalister (1949, 82) as `a slab of mica slate...found and drawn by Petrie in the `Great Cemetery' of Glendaloch, but now lost'. The partial inscription recorded by Petrie was given as '--]AIGEN' (Petrie 1878, 68).
