The National Monuments Service's description

Granite cross-base (dims. 0.85m x 0.72m; H 0,65m) outside the 'caretaker's house', with a mortice (dims. 0.28m x 0.1m x 0.12m deep) in the levelled top. It was found about 140m away when the road was widened (Price 1959, 163; Healy 1972, 17, 64)
