The National Monuments Service's description

Located 3.6m W of SW corner of nave of St Mary's Church (WI023-003001-) (Leask 1950, fig. 4f, 15). Described by Healy (1972, 16) as a ‘rough cross of mica-schist over 0.76m x 0.46m wide x 0.06m thick. The arms are very short’. Described by Leask (1950, 43) as a ‘rough cross about 1 foot 10 inches [0.55m] high, fixed in a stone slab socket. The arms expand slightly and the shaft broadens irregularly. It is 10 feet [3m] W. of the church’.
