The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on level ground in forestry. Granite monolith, narrower at the base than at the top (H 2.37m; Wth 2.03m (top) - 1.02m (base); T 0.58m) with long axis aligned E-W. There is an ogham inscription on NE edge which reads MAQI NILI (Macalister 1945, 54-5, no. 51). (Grogan and Kilfeather 1997, no. 184)
This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. To access details go to the following website:
