The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the summit of a low hill with wide views especially to the N. A circular enclosure (diam. 55m) with a raised interior (max. H 0.5m) defined by a discontinuous earth and boulder bank (Wth 4-4.5m; max. H 0.7m). The bank extends to the W beyond the present graveyard (WI022-011004-), which is enclosed by iron railings. At the NW the site is defined by an external fosse (Wth 4m; D 0.5m). No indication of an entrance. There was a holy well (WI022-011002-) formerly at the N edge of the enclosure, and there is an earthfast granite bullaun (WI022-011003-) 15m to the SE of the graveyard. A font (WI022-011005-) has been placed on a modern plinth just inside the entrance gate of the graveyard.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
