The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the foot of a marked SW-facing slope. A bivallate ringfort consisting of an oval area (dims. 35m NE-SW; 31m NW-SE) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2-3m; H 0.5-1.2m), an outer fosse (Wth 3.2-3.5m) from W-N, a berm (Wth 3.5m) from NE-S and an outer bank (Wth 2m; H 1m) from W-N. At the S there is a sharp drop to a small stream which skirts the site. There is an entrance feature (Wth 2m) which may be original at the E. Also at the E is a triangular annexe (dims. 70m NW-SE; 40m NE-SW) defined along its N edge by a continuation of the outer ringfort bank and along the S by the stream.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
