The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the S face of an E-W ridge. A bivallate ringfort (diam. 36m) defined by a bank (Wth c. 2.5m; int. H c. 1.4m; ext. H c. 2m), a fosse (Wth 3-4m) and an external bank (Wth c. 1m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H c. 0.5m) which is best preserved at the NE. A gap at SW probably represents an entrance and there is a further gap at NE. In the interior towards the NE is a small hollow (diam. 3.2m; D 0.7m) with vertical sides and an access trench (Wth 1.7m), possibly the remains of either a kiln or a souterrain. A small bank attached to the site at the SW almost opposite the entrance may be the remains of an annexe.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
