The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on level ground in gently undulating terrain. Circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) apparently defined by a bank with a possible entrance at the NW, visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BDJ 88). The OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 81) refer to a large ringfort in this townland which could be this site or another in the adjacent field to E (Killoughter, (WI019-023----). Not visible at ground level.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
