The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a marked E-facing slope to the E of the summit of a low ridge in the corner of a field. Human skeletons are reputed to have been found in a sandpit on the E side of the ridge (extending N-S). Not visible at ground level. (O'Flanagan 1928, 74)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
