This granite boulder was dug up during the construction of a house around 2008 and was retained as a garden feature adjacent to the entrance gate. This is a relatively level site, whereby the views are presently obstructed by vegetation and buildings, but formerly there would have been a commanding view of Djouce to the north. The granite boulder measures 1.7m x 1.32m across and stands 75cm high. Given the presence of plough marks along two edges of the stone it is clear that it was formerly an earthfast boulder, whereby the decorated face was situated relatively close to the surface. The decorated surface is slightly domed and features a vein of quartz extending diagonally across the top. The surface is also very weathered so that the decoration is quite poorly preserved. There are five large cupmarks ranging from 4cm to 6cm across and 1.5cm deep. There are faint traces of circles enclosing at least three of these larger cupmarks. There are also traces of 12 smaller and shallower cup marks.
