The National Monuments Service's description
The stone, which is not in its original location, is on a gentle N-facing slope on the S edge of a steep stream valley leading E down a marked slope to Lough Dan. Large, previously earthfast, boulder (dims. 2.3m x 1.6m; T 0.6-1.1m) with smooth curved upper surface, part of which is decorated with concentric circles, circles, radial lines and cupmarks, covering an area 1.4m x 0.7m.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
