The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the SW end of a slight ridge with gentle slopes to the W and a marked drop to the marshy floor of Dolls Brook to the E and S. Oval area (dims. 35m NE-SW; 25m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2-4m; int. H 1m) set on the perimeter of a slight platform (H c. 1m), and an external fosse (Wth 2.5-3.5m; D 0.5m). There is an entrance gap (Wth 1m) at the N with a shallow internal fosse (Wth 2m) inside it cutting off a small portion of the interior. Several large hollows also occur in the interior. A subrectangular annexe (dims. 14.5m NE-SW; c. 18m NW-SE) is attached on the SW. This is defined at the E by the continuation of the ringfort bank and fosse; these features have been removed elsewhere by an adjacent road. The ringfort and annexe are separated by the ungapped ringfort bank. A gap (Wth 1.5m) in the bank at the SE side of the annexe, immediately S of the junction with the ringfort, may be the entrance. Another ringfort (WI015-066----) lies 30m to the NE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
