The National Monuments Service's description
Set into a marked slope on the W edge of the summit of Scalp mountain with extensive views NW-S. Circular cairn (diam. 22m; H 1-2.5m) the upper levels of which are considerably denuded. Two large displaced slabs, one in the centre and the other on the W edge, may be roofstones or structural stones.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
