The National Monuments Service's description
Monitoring of top soil stripping in 2005 (Excavation Licence 05E0406, 'area 1') uncovered a burnt spread. Only a portion of this was excavated and the rest was preserved in situ outside of the development area. (McLoughlin 2008, 413-4)
