The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the foot of a gentle E-facing slope. A D-shaped graveyard (dims. 34m E-W; 30m N-S), with remains of church (WI012-019001-) in centre, occupying the SW portion of a larger oval enclosure (WI012-019003-). The graveyard is defined at S and W by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.3-2m; int. H 0.8-1m; ext. H 1.1-1.3m) with a near-vertical external drystone facing. At the E (straight side) the bank abuts a farmtrack which divides the site N-S. The perimeter of the outer enclosure is represented by a slight scarp to the E of the track. An outer fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.3m) occurs at the SW but the bank continues for some distance to the N where it underlies a farmyard wall. A hexagonal block of granite (L 0.73m; Wth 0.66m; T 0.3m) with a sub-rectangular basin (D 0.04-0.11m) and no drainage hole lies beside the church site and may be a font or a cross-base.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
