The National Monuments Service's description

In 1939, during excavation works by the ESB in advance of flooding an area for a hydro-electrical scheme, cremated human teeth and pottery fragments were discovered, but were removed from their context before they could be examined archaeologically. The remains were acquired by the NMI. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol. 2, 452)
