The National Monuments Service's description
Two bowl shaped hearths (Hearth 1: diam. c. 1m; max. D 0.13m; Hearth 2: diam. 1.7m; D 0.3m ) and three pits were excavated here in 2001 as part of a monitoring programme on the N11 road improvement scheme (Excavation Licence 01E1134). Hearth 2 produced a radiocarbon date of AD 900-1160 while one of the pits provided a radiocarbon date of AD 1000-1240. (Mossop 2003, 425-6)
