The National Monuments Service's description
The Ordnance Survey Letters (1838-40) record that 'the remains of a fine moate may be seen near the house of Ballydonogh in the T.L. of that name; it has been broken in on by a sand or gravel pit' (O'Flanagan 1928, 39). The exact location of this is not known.
