The National Monuments Service's description

On a relatively gentle N facing slope, on the foothills of the northern shoulder of the Little Sugar Loaf, with views of Raven Rock and Two Rock Mountain to the NW, the Scalp defile to the NNW, Carrickgollogan to the N and Killiney Hill to the NE. At the centre of a small tree ring (WI008-005----), a large, earthfast granite boulder (L 3.2m N-S; Wth 3m E-W; H 0.4m at S; H 0.5m at W; H 0.7m at N). Some 18 weathered cup marks are scattered across the highest point of the stone. The two largest cups are 6cm and 8cm across, and 1cm and 1.5cm deep respectively. The remainder range from 3.5cm to 4.5cm across, and are generally very shallow, averaging 0.5cm deep.
