The National Monuments Service's description

The OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 5) mention the church and graveyard in this townland, which had been destroyed c. 1770 by 'one of the descendants of Cromwell's followers', and planted as an orchard. Price (1953, 251) mentions the remains of a burial ground which had all but disappeared. The holy well at Powerscourt Demesne (WI007-016----) may have been associated with this site.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
