The National Monuments Service's description

At the SE edge of a gentle SE facing slope with a steep to very steep slope to the S and SE. Church of Ireland parish church built in 1736 and associated graveyard used by the Wingfield family (Viscounts Powerscourt), estate and household staff and some local protestant families. In ruins since before 1908 and replaced by the present parish church - opposite the main entrance to the estate - at about that time.
