The National Monuments Service's description
Some fragments of 'cinerary urns' and cremated bones found in 1873 in the Liffey Valley near Kilbride and presented to the Royal Irish Academy; sherds of a vase urn are in the NMI. (Herity 1969, 21-37; Waddell 1990, 162; Price and Walshe 1933, 62)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
