The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope, on a toe of relatively high ground with N-S valleys and stream c. 300m to the E and W. Circular grass-covered area (dims. 33m N-S; 31m E-W) defined by an overgrown earth and stone bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.6-1.4m; ext. H 1.4-1.7m), except E-S where a drystone wall replaces the bank. An external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 4m; D 0.4m) survives NW-NE. The original entrance (Wth 1.5m) at E has been widened (Wth 2.5m).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
