Situated on a gentle W-facing slope planted with a cereal crop and just above a steeper SW-facing slope down to the E-W Lickey river, with the stream c. 250m to the SW. Depicted as a rectangular building oriented E-W without an enclosure but described as a church site on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Nothing is visible at ground level.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
