The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the crest of the W-E spur of Rincrew. A souterrain of several underground passages and chambers was discovered c. 400m from the Knight's Templar abbey (WA037-025----) at a place called Paircín Fhionn - Fionn's field (WA037-045----). Another underground beehive chamber 'about 9 feet in diameter and 6 feet high (diam. c. 2.75m; H c. 1.8m)' was discovered closer to the abbey. It remains unlocated. (FitzGerald, 1858, 22).
