The National Monuments Service's description
Located on the floodplain of the NW-SE Licky River with the stream c. 200m to the NE, and at the bottom of a N-facing, grass-covered slope. It is described as an old church site where a bullaun stone (WA035-016002-) and a small cross-inscribed stone with an inscription were found (Power 1910; 1952, 130). The inscribed stone (dims. c. 0.35m x 0.24m; T 0.07m) is of sandstone and the inscription, written in the Latin alphabet, was read by Power as AEDUI and by Macalister (1945, vol. 1, 109-10) as AEDUIE, which is correct. There are two small crosses inscribed in the same face of the stone. The cross-inscribed stone subsequently disappeared (Power, 1952, 130).
