The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a subcircular embanked enclosure (ext. dims. c. 40m N-S; c. 35m E-W) with its permieter incorporated in road banks at E and S on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture towards the bottom of a W-facing slope with the N-S Greagagh stream c. 120m to the W, it is not visible at ground level. There are local descriptions of a souterrain (WA035-007001-) within it that was accessible until c. 1970.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
