The National Monuments Service's description
According to Power (1952, 64) there was a standing stone (dims. c. 1.05m x c. 0.6m x c. 1.4m) in Coolbeggan East or Coolbeggan West. A folk tale related that it had been thrown from Carnglass Hill, c. 3km to the E, by Fionn Mac Cumhaill. It remains unlocated.
