A house, barn and orchard are marked on a Bateman map of 1717 at Kilcalf West (NLI: ms. 6148, 18) close to a bend in the road at the W edge of the townland, and housing is also marked here on a Scalé map (NLI: ms. 7218, 6), dated 1774. They remain unlocated.
