The National Monuments Service's description
Situated within a coniferous forest, and just on the E side of a N-S forest track and old lane. It is also in a col with slightly higher ground c. 700m to the NW and c. 1.1km to S, with the summit of Kilwatervoy Mountain c. 350m to the E. A standing stone is marked only on a 1716 Bateman map (NLI, MSS 6148-9), but it is not visible at ground level.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
