The National Monuments Service's description

Situated towards the bottom of a steep E-facing slope of Kilwatermoy Mountain, with the N-S stream in Moorhill Glen c. 250m to the E. The well is on the NW side of a SW-NE road. The holy well (WA033-005----) is covered by a penitential cairn (dims. 1.6m x 1.3m; H 0.4m) of quartz stones, which supports a metal cross.
