The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the S-facingl slope of a broad NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 35m NNE-SSW) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at NNE: Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.95m; ext. H 0.5m) with slight traces of an inner fosse which may have been excavated to supply material for the bank on the uphill side of the rath. The perimeter is truncated slightly at SE by a NE-SW field bank. There is no identifiable entrance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
