The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a level landscape on the floor of the Cappagh Valley. This is a conglomerate stone with a triangular cross-section at its base (dims. 0.7m NE-SW; 0.7m NW-SE; 0.8m N-S; H 1.6m). The top of the stone has a crest which is oval in plan (dims. 0.75m x 0.35m) and oriented NE-SW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
