The National Monuments Service's description
One of seven ogham stones from this early ecclesiastical site. This fragment of a stone (1.17 x 0.41 x 0.08m converted from Macalister 1945) was found at Kilgrovan church site (WA031-045----) by William Williams in 1857 (Brash 1879, 256-7). It is now in Mount Melleray Cistercian monastery (WA021-003005-). The inscription has been read as: MAQI E[... (Macalister 1945, 285, no. 290). (Moore 1999, 1493)
