The National Monuments Service's description
A rectangular limestone panel (Wth 0.55m; H 0.6m) set in the external W wall of the modern church at the Augustinian priory (WA031-040005-) has a shield with an image of a gryphon or other mythological beast in relief, together with three scallop shells. It is probably 17th century in date (Bradley et al. 1989, 39-40).
