The National Monuments Service's description
Archaeological testing (99E0706) inside a structure on the N side of Parnell St. identified traces of two timber-frame buildings, and a wall from a masonry building (WA031-040018-) was incorporated into the N wall of a 19th century building. One timber-frame structure was visible as two clay floors with straight edges, but there was no evidence of structural timbers as these would have been laid on the ground surface. The second timber structure was represented by drains and a cut (dims. c. 3.5m x c. 3.5m; D c. 0.6m) for a cellar. (Pollock 2000d, 16-7; 2002d)
