Marked as a small circular field on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on flat, boggy ground close to the source of a small W-E stream in a pond, c. 40m to the W. This is a kidney-shaped, grass-covered stony mound (dims. 17m N-S; 14.5m E-W; max. H 0.8m) open to the W.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
