Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 45-55m) on the 1840 and 1927 eds. of the OS 6-inch map and situated on a S-N spur with S-N streams c. 700m to the W and c. 1km to the E. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam c. 40m), barely discernible at ground level, but visible as a cropmark with two banks and fosses (max. ext. diam. c. 60m) on aerial photographs (CUCAP, ALS 95, BGP 33).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
