The National Monuments Service's description
Near the top of a cliff, beneath a sod layer (D 0.1-0.25m). The cliff forms the western edge of a natural promontory, though the former estuary at the base of the cliff, in the Back Strand of Tramore Bay, has silted up and been reclaimed. There are three other middens (WA027-090----; WA027-091----; WA027-093----) in the cliff face (WA027-090---- and WA027-091----) being approximately 15m and 33m to the S respectively and WA027-093---- being c. 4m to the N. Kilmealeague medieval church (WA027-009001-) is c. 50m to the SE. A midden (L 1.8m; D 0.06-0.13m) which has largely eroded away, leaving only the traces of shell remains. The midden is c. 2.5-3m above the base of the cliff.
