The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on fairly level ground with a slight E-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 24m) defined by a scarp. Traces of a widely spread bank (Wth 8.3m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.8m) and outer fosse (Wth c. 4m; ext. D 0.6m) survive at N. There is no visible entrance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
