The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on level ground just NW of enclosure (WA026-002002-). It was described by Power (1896a, 172-4) as a pillar stone or gallán more than 2m high. Now removed, its location was mistaken for that of ogham stone (WA026-002001-) by the cartographers of the OS 1925 OS 6-inch map.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
