The National Monuments Service's description
In 1290 David Craddock lodged a petition against Maurice Russell, sheriff of Waterford, for having 'broke open gates and doors of his castle' (Power, 1952, 356). There are no other referenced to a castle at Castlecraddock and it remains unlocated.
