The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a W-facing slope c. 200m from the coast at Annestown Strand. This is an Old Red Sandstone monolith with a rounded top (dims. 0.5m x 0.3m; H 1.65m), oriented NNE-SSW. The stone has been removed since 1989.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
