The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as an oval embanked enclosure only on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated at the crest of a N-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims. 60m E-W; 50m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (at S: Wth 4m; int. H 0.5-1m; ext. H 0.85-1.5m), which is incorporated into a field bank and hedge W-N-ESE. The original entrance is not identified, and there is no visible fosse.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
