The National Monuments Service's description

Situated just below the crest of the SW-facing slope of a hill. Circular scrub-covered area (diam. 28m) defined by an overgrown earthen bank best preserved at NE (Wth 3- 5.7m; int. H 1.2-2m; ext. H 0.8-1.5m), with an external fosse (Wth at base 2m; ext. D 1.15m) N-E. The original entrance (Wth 2m) is downslope at SW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
