The National Monuments Service's description
Situated towards the bottom of a SW-facing slope in a fairly level landscape. Oval grass-covered area (dims. 40m WSW-ENE; 34m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-4m generally to 7m at SSE; int. H 1.15-1.5m; ext. H 1.25m) with traces of stone facing and some bushes. The entrance (Wth 2.7m) is at E, but there is no visible fosse. It is thought locally to contain an underground chamber (WA024-014002-), but there is no evidence of a souterrain.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
